Nancy Steidl – My Story

I have spent over 25 years helping business owners and entrepreneurs build strong foundations, grow their companies, and embrace the complex worlds of business, IP law, and emerging technologies. My passion for business began early, fuelled by my curiosity, ambition, and a desire to understand how ideas could be turned into practical, sustainable ventures. This drive has guided my career, from structuring and running my own businesses to mentoring and advising others to achieve lasting success.

Alongside of a business consultant, I am also a International Intellectual Property Law Specialist in AI and Robots. I am also the author of The Art of Analogies in Business: How to Start a Business in Layman’s Terms, a book designed to make complex business concepts accessible through analogy. I have also written extensively for publications such as Startups Magazine and Trademark News, addressing topics ranging from business planning and decision- making to intellectual property strategy and AI integration. Sharing my expertise through speaking engagements including the Successful Minds talk show and the She Is Unstoppable podcast has been a rewarding way to inspire and guide others in their entrepreneurial journeys.

Since 2018, I have served as Managing Director of the business mission consultancy in London, providing strategic business and intellectual property law advice to both startups and established businesses. My approach combines the practical insights gained from running my own businesses with rigorous academic study and a deep understanding of intellectual property law. I work closely with clients to implement solid business foundations, create effective strategies, understanding the importance of law within their businesses and securing their IP along with embracing innovation in a rapidly changing global landscape. I support clients dealing with intellectual property challenges in emerging sectors, particularly AI and robotics, helping them protect and leverage their innovations. I am passionate about translating complex concepts into clear, actionable ensuring clients can make informed decisions and confidently move their businesses forward.

Academically, I hold an MBA in International Business Management (International Business Management Institute, Berlin), a Master’s Degree in International Business Law, and a Master’s Degree in International Intellectual Property Law (University of London). I have also studied Emerging Economics at Harvard University and am currently completing the SQE 1 and 2 to qualify as a UK IP lawyer. These qualifications complement my practical experience and allow me to offer advice that is both legally sound and commercially effective.

Throughout my career, I have been driven by a belief in the power of strong foundations, clarity of strategy, and continuous learning. I enjoy sharing the lessons learned from my own journey, and helping clients discover practical solutions which deliver real results. I am based in the UK; however, my work spans the globe, giving me a unique perspective on international business challenges and opportunities.

Every project I take on reflects my commitment to empowering business leaders, driving innovation, and helping entrepreneurs and companies thrive, turning vision into tangible, lasting success.
